About Us

Built on Verified Credentials

CertifiedRealEstateAppraiser.com exists to make the appraiser search trustworthy, transparent, and fast — for property owners, lenders, attorneys, and appraisers alike.

Our Mission

Finding a qualified real estate appraiser shouldn't require guesswork. Too many property owners end up with appraisers who are unlicensed, inactive, or simply unqualified for the assignment type — whether because they didn't check, or didn't know how to check.

We built this platform to solve that. Every appraiser listed in our directory has an active state credential verified against the federal Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC) National Registry before their listing goes live. That's the same registry that state licensing boards, lenders, and federal agencies rely on.

How Verification Works

When an appraiser submits a listing application and completes payment, their credential information goes through a manual review process before their profile is approved for public display. Here's exactly what we check:

ASC National Registry cross-checkWe verify the appraiser's name, state, and license type against the Appraisal Subcommittee's federal registry at asc.gov — the authoritative source for all active appraiser credentials in the United States.
License status confirmationWe confirm the credential is currently active and in good standing — not expired, suspended, or surrendered.
Credential level matchWe confirm the license type listed in the application (Certified Residential, Certified General, Licensed Residential) matches what appears in the federal registry.
Annual renewalDirectory listings are annual. Credentials are re-verified at each renewal to ensure continued good standing.

Working Appraisers

Credentialed appraisers can apply for a verified annual directory listing, receive a verified badge for their own marketing materials, and access inbound consumer leads routed from the platform.

About the ASC National Registry

The Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC) is a federal agency established under Title XI of FIRREA (Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989). The ASC maintains the National Registry of all state-licensed and state-certified appraisers in the United States — currently over 80,000 active credentials.

Every appraiser authorized to perform federally related appraisal transactions must appear in this registry with an active credential. It is the definitive source for appraiser credential verification, and it is the standard we use for every listing approval on this platform.
